Abstract
The experience of war certainly affects historians – both as individuals and as a professional community, turning the past into a weapon. But what exactly is this influence? The international workshop “War and the Historian’s Viewpoint. How Life During a Catastrophe Shapes Our Understanding of the Past,” which took place in Dnipro on April 16–17, 2024, was aimed at discussing these issues. The workshop program was aimed at discussing the challenges that war poses to the professional activities of historians from different perspectives.
